Lyrics of Same story, different day

Sitting atop of the throne you've built, peering down upon an average boy. filled with mistakes, instilled by insecurities. a hardened shell that i broke down or at least took a piece of. a glance was all that i have needed, to shut the door. poured this time, this sould, this being, all for what? poured this time, this soul, this being, all for what? a promise that was too good to keep, every word that was held... you say i am the same story, but a deeper look projects a different image, one that sites not well. a deeper meaning that i will understand.
