I think they went and thought i lost my mind
But for years i felt confined
With all the small thinking of our time

And i'm convinced nobody would ever have a clue
Of all that i've been through
Dropped it all, let it fall and i ran to you

Hated to love, i was concerned
About living life and getting burned
A repeat performance going on in my life
Hated to love but still i'd yearn

And i've returned to relearn
How to live a life worth living
And i wanted to confide
Not to hide but my friends and family

Just couldn't hear my side
So i walked right on by
And tried to live a life
Where i'd finally be satisfied

Most won't agree with me, that's okay by me
'cuz i don't agree with most of the population
And popularity don't mean so much to me
I can't invest in their success, it needs interpretation

Seasons change, night turns to day
Why must it all just slip away?
Dreams all fade, create yesterday
But i know this can stay
